Dressed to impress at age 3 in a nautical striped ‘sailorette’ suit with matching bow in hair is where it all began for this mariner. As a young North Carolinian, Caroline spent her youth on and around the water, dreaming of the day that she sails with Atlantic Yachting. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a stronger passion for sailing than economics, Caroline hopped aboard a privately owned custom sailing sloop as crew. Her time aboard yachts has taken her throughout the Bahamas, Caribbean, Central America, and even the canals of England. She believes that the people that you meet along your journey are sometimes more memorable than the sights you see, so she aims to make an awesome lasting impression on your charter.
Logan had already restored a sailboat and was living aboard, sailing throughout the Bahamas, by the age of 18. Since then, the North Carolina native has acquired tens of thousands of miles as a yacht captain in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Pacific; including 3 Panama Canal transits. Even after seeing everything from a win at Antigua Sailing Week, to a mid-Atlantic knock down, Logan's greatest thrill is watching students and charter guests catch the sailing bug. He holds a US Coast Guard Masters Captains License and a Business Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School. Logan was president of the UNC sailing club and a collegiate cyclist. On his days off you will definitely find him making laps in the park.
As soon as the cold hits NYC, Logan heads offshore on his personal sailboat for warmer climates (and surf!).
Mariette is an ASA-certified crew member, who. Her passion for travel, sailing and merriment are why we have trusted her, for years, to ensure guests' enjoyment and safety. She brings reliability, adaptability and a ton of charm to each charter. When not on the high seas, Mariette can be seen on stage or screen near you, acting in national commercials, popular YouTube clips and various productions that require improvisation and wit.
In her spare time, she enjoys running and drinking wine, usually in that order.
Jonathan learned to sail in a small lake at a Summer program when he was nine years-old. He fell in love with the sport, and ten years later he was running the program. The same thing happened here in NYC.
Jonathan is one of the veterans on our crew. Over the course of the last eight years he has led our Summer Sailing Camp, taught numerous sailing lessons and been both crew and captain on our private sailboat charters. Before joining Atlantic Yachting he spent ten years teaching sailing in Rhode Island, the U.S. Virgin Islands and his home state of Florida.
Off the water, Jonathan is an actor, singer, voice over artist, host of speed dating events, and a graduate of the Brown University/Trinity Rep. Acting Conservatory.
Amanda has had a passion for sailing and adventure since she was a child. She is a world traveler who has ventured to the corners of the world and back. Some of her most notable sails were in Malta, Croatia and in Argentina. Amanda brings this enthusiasm to Atlantic Yachting as crew aboard our private sailboat charters.
